The Junior club is on Saturday mornings at the Town Hall in the Committee Room from 11:00 to 13:00. Tuition is given by Meri Grigoryan a West London Chess Club member who is a woman FIDE master and ECF Accredited Coach. Boys and Girls welcome. Places are limited and it's a first-come-first-served basis.

How to qualify:
a) be 1st in your age group
b) be the only boy/girl in your age group
c) score15 points if you are over 11 years of age
d) score 17 points
e) be the overall winner
The usual UK Chess Challenge prizes to be won - the winner gets a trophy to keep.
No refreshments on sale - children should bring their own packed lunches.

18 children in two age groups competed for medals and for the 31st WLJCC title. WLJCC member Kinan Patel was the only U11 boy who won all his games (children playing against Kinan received half a point) and thus was the overall winner. The age group winners were:
